How long will we keep your data?
We will only keep data for as long as is necessary. All data will then be deleted in accordance with UK General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). You will be contacted prior to deletion.
What We Won’t Do
Sell or give your information to any third party, unless we are required or forced to do so under a court order or regulation. We will also NOT use your data for any other function.
Our privacy principles
1. Your personal data will be processed fairly and lawfully.
2. Your personal data will be obtained only for one or more specified and lawful purposes, and will not be further processed in any manner incompatible with that purpose or those purposes.
3. Your personal data will be adequate, relevant, and not excessive in relation to the purpose or purposes for which they are processed.
4. Your personal data will be accurate and kept up to date.
5. Your personal data will not be kept for longer than is necessary.
6. Your personal data shall be processed in accordance with the rights of data subjects set out under the UK General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
7. We will take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect against unauthorized or unlawful processing of your personal data and against accidental loss, destruction of, or damage to, your personal data.
8. Your personal data will not be transferred to a country or territory outside the European Economic Area unless that country or territory ensures an adequate level of protection for the rights and freedoms of data subjects in relation to the processing of personal data. In the event of the data being sent to a country without sufficient safeguards, the association will draft a Transfer Risk Assessment (TRA) prior to any data being shared. The TRA will be made available to you.
9. We will not sell or give your information to any third party unless we are required or forced to do so under a court order or regulation.
10. You may request details of personal information which we hold about you. If you would like a copy of the information held about you, please email dataprotection@aqai.tax. We will respond within one month of your request. There will be no charge for this service unless you make excessive or unfounded requests. Excessive or unfounded requests will be subject to an administrative charge of £50.
11. If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please email dataprotection@aqai.tax as soon as possible at the above address. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect and respond within one month of receipt of your request.
12. You may ask us to remove your personal information from our systems. If you would like us to remove any personal information, please email dataprotection@aqai.tax. We will respond within 28 days.
The Association of Qualified & Authorised Intermediaries may change this policy periodically by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes.
